iForce HemaV02 Max

hemav02-maxKing of Pumps!

I decided to finally take a stim break for the first time in what may possibly be years, mainly for the late-night workouts and trying to remember what sleep is like again. The original Hemavol is one of the most well-known stimulant free preworkouts, so I felt I was in safe hands going with it’s predecessor, HemaV02 Max by iForce Nutrition. This was going to be a far cry from the likes of Kraken and Mesomorph, but I was looking forward to seeing if I could step away from the stims and just add caffeine if needed (yeah I know, not completely stim free but hey, one step at a time before going cold turkey!)

Sparta Nutrition Kraken

Release the Kraken!

After finishing Total War, and finding it to be possibly my favorourite pre-workout to-date, we weren’t sure what would be next on the list, until we stumbled upon Kraken by Sparta Nutrition. Not being too familiar with Sparta Nutrition, it turns out that Kraken is their first venture into the world of pre-workouts, and one glance at the label had us itching to try it. Possibly the most complete label that we have seen to date, and containing double the dose of DMHA compared to Total War, so this should be one fun ride!

Cobra Labs The Curse

Today we are going to be reviewing The Curse! by Cobra Labs. A pre workout we’ve actually used a few times in the past, and one we have decided to revisit. Over the last year or so, it has become one of the more common pre workouts on the market and a ‘go to’ pre workout for new users into the murky and scary waters of the pre workout world.

Redcon1 Total War

totalwar

Total War is the flagship pre-workout from Redcon1, who are a new brand from the former CEO of Blackstone Labs, Aaron Singerman. From our experience of BSL, this is one pre-workout that we couldn’t wait to get our hands on! As soon as it become available in the UK, we managed to get our hands on the first tub that hit our local store. As this is a new PW, we had very little knowledge of what to expect, and this was also going to be our first DMHA experience (see further in this article for more).  Continue reading “Redcon1 Total War”

BSN NO-Xplode 3.0

no-xplode3

NO-Xplode 3.0 is the latest offering from BSN , following on from one of my favourite pre-workouts during 2015, NO-Xplode 2.0 and one of the best all-round formulas that I have used. I was highly disappointed when I could no longer get hold of 2.0, and decided to give 3.0 a try on the back of this.

Interestingly, the previous version had a massive proprietary blend with possible the most ingredients I have ever seen in a PW. BSN have gone with a transparent label on 3.0 whilst reducing the number of active ingredients.  Continue reading “BSN NO-Xplode 3.0”

BlackStone Labs Dust V2

img_0042

Dust V2 by Blackstone Labs is the successor to one of the most successful pre-workouts in the last few years, Angel Dust. Many manufacturers struggle to follow up a hit product with another hit product, but BSL claim to not only have matched Angel Dust, but claim that Dust V2 improves upon their best selling PW.

It’s time for DUST! Hair on fire, eyes bugging out of your head, psycho intensity in just ONE scoop. Explosive strength and power, extreme energy, endurance, and fire hose sized veins and pumps – BSL Official Site

Cellucor C4 50X

c40-x50

The previous generation C4 by Cellucor was the second pre-workout that I ever tried, after Muscle Pharm Assault, and was one of my favourite PWs. The new generation was reformulated and didn’t look as good on paper, as tends to happen with reformulations, but the 50X version has 50% more active ingredients and also 2 additional ingredients not found in the standard C4 (TeaCor™ and XCELICOR™), so I decided to give this a try.  Continue reading “Cellucor C4 50X”

Nutrex Research Outrage

outrage

Call it a cock-up if you will but I accidentally ordered what I thought was the clinically dosed Outlift by the same company, Nutrex Research. It wasn’t until I whatsapp’ed Ben to tell him on what a good deal I got on the product he pointed out that I’d bought the wrong supplement.. easy mistake to make right? Anyways here is the review for Outrage. Continue reading “Nutrex Research Outrage”

Cobra Labs Shadow X

shadowx

Shadow X is the next offering from Cobra Labs, following on from The Curse, a solid pre-workout that we have both used in the past. Shadow X is a hard core version of this, sharing a similar ingredient profile but in much higher doses. There isn’t much around in terms of reviews for Shadow X, so I was interested to take the plunge based off previous experience with The Curse and the “interesting” looking packaging.  Continue reading “Cobra Labs Shadow X”

APS Mesomorph

AP

Mesomorph from APS Nutrition is a pre-workout that comes with a LOT of hype! This is one pre-workout that has been on our radar for some time, and we have read nothing but good reviews regarding it, and also the fact that it brings back DMAA (currently still a grey area regarding the legality of this, but who are we to question it, and we need to make the most of it whilst we can)! Read on to see whether it can really live up to the hype. Continue reading “APS Mesomorph”
